Chinese Kindergarten - Nurturing a child's love for learning Chinese Kindergarten - Nurturing a child's love for learning
Testimonials
A school which recognises the importance of preparing children for their primary school years, Chinese Kindergarten also believes in the need for a proper childhood through play and one that is grounded in love, encouragement and positive affirmation.

"A child loved, a child learns", the school motto underlies the growth in our son Jonathan through his pre-school days. Our sincere appreciation to the Principal, teachers and even non-academic staff, who have in one way or another, opened up the hearts and minds of our precious little ones.

Coming from an English-speaking environment at home, Emmanuelle’s understanding of Mandarin was very limited. She couldn’t understand a single word her Granny spoke. With reliable recommendation from a friend who very much trusted in what The Chinese Kindergarten offers, I enrolled her without hesitation. There is now a vast improvement in her everyday communication with her Granny.

The one other thing I am puzzled about till today - how she is now able to recognise colours. We tried all sorts of methods to teach her at home but to no avail. Within the first term of her pre-nursery days, she has mastered all the basic colours. Not forgetting the bible verses and worship she has learned in school and which she proudly presents to us at home. I believe learning in Chinese Kindergarten has also helped build up her confidence.

I am glad that I enrolled my two kids, Min Yi and En Xuan in Chinese Kindergarten. It is heart-warming to know that the school principal, teachers and helpers are passionate about the children and care for their development needs in a sensitive manner. My kids come back from school singing, dancing and telling me stories and it is such a great pleasure to see them enjoying school.

The school provides holistic education with gymnastics and interactive learning methods as part of the school curriculum. The school puts in effort to introduce enrichment classes like phonics, speech and drama, art classes etc. for the children and coordinate with transport service providers to send our children home. Thank you for the dedication you bring to our children’s education and well-being. Do keep up the good work! We look forward to another exciting and enriching year with the school.

We started looking for a pre-school for our elder son Marcus in 2007 and visited a few such establishments near our home. We eventually narrowed our search down to Chinese Kindergarten after repeated visits to the school and speaking with their principal Mrs Wong. Located in a church compound, the school has a pleasant Christian environment, space and facility for a pre-school. Mrs Wong gave us the confidence that Marcus would do well in the school.

It took Marcus about a month to settle down in school. Under the loving and caring guidance of the teachers, he started to enjoy going to school, learning new things and making friends. We are especially impressed with the teachers at Chinese Kindergarten. They constantly upgrade their skills to be able to better guide the children under their care. We are also able to check with Marcus’ teachers on his progress every now and then.

We have since recommended the school to a few parents and they have in turn enrolled their children. We look forward to sending our younger son, Nicholas, to Chinese Kindergarten when the time comes.

Chinese Kindergarten was selected due to its proximity to my boys’ primary care-givers (grandparents). However, within one year of schooling, we knew we made the right choice. The school struck us as a pleasant place where kids are lovingly taught and nurtured. The spacious and clean compound together with caring and friendly teachers/staff have also done much in assuring us that our children are placed in good hands.

As parents, we are pleased to know of the school’s efforts to nurture not only the mental and physical aspects of learning in students but also the moral and ethic aspects too. This is clearly demonstrated by the recent program (Project Character) to cultivate good values among the young ones through moral/Christian devotion. We highly credit the school for the efforts in this area because in a competitive society like Singapore, it is easy to lose sight of basic values like kindness, helpfulness etc. in our strive to be at the top of the ladder. Reinforcing such values at a young age will keep children mindful of these good values as they progress on in their path of life-long learning.

To anyone who seeks a preschool for their young ones, we highly recommend Chinese Kindergarten. Here, you can be assured that your child is well-cared and groomed as he/she commence on his/her path of literacy and learning. Choosing Chinese Kindergarten is a decision we believe you will not regret making.

My son was in Chinese Kindergarten for three years. I like the programmes that the school provide, which include gymnastics sessions and other enrichment courses that build up a child’s confidence. My son attended speech and drama, abacus and the Thinking class. He enjoyed the Abacus class so much that we have enrolled him in external Abacus courses after he left Chinese Kindergarten.

In addition, I found writing journals a very useful exercise. It helps the children to express themselves and can be used as a good memory tool. I have since encouraged my son to continue writing.

Patience and Love: these are two of the most invaluable qualities the teachers at Chinese Kindergarten possess. Indeed, these qualities surpass the years of teaching experience and qualifications that education ministries solely emphasise on.

At the Chinese Kindergarten, the teachers’ faith in the Lord and their passion and love for children give them the strength and dedication to nurture our children into confident, loving and God-fearing children. The Chinese Kindergarten is our pillar of support because she educates with a mission. She is a rare gem in today’s context and is definitely the institution of choice for parents who wish to impart fine values and knowledge to their children.
